ITINERARY

After your hotel pickup in the early morning, enjoy the drive through the breathtaking Moroccan countryside with its shattered villages, olive groves and wild Argan trees. On the way to Essaouira, you can stop in at a local co-operative run by women who extract the Argan oil from the trees and discover how it is processed into cooking oil and cosmetics. You can taste and buy the products if you like. After arriving in Essaouira, explore the charming Portuguese-style city by foot. Visit the busy harbor and watch the fishermen unloading their catch of the day, take photos of the picturesque fishing boats and enjoy fresh fish and seafood at its best. In the former Portuguese medina, you can find beautifully shuttered white and blue houses where local artists are selling their crafts and singing Bob Marley songs. Visit the historic ramparts and imagine life in the 16th century on the fortress along with its beautiful view of the shoreline. Return to Agadir with an approximate arrival at your hotel or riad at around 7pm. You’ll explore Essaouira on your own, there is no local city guide included.

This day trip will take you hiking to beautiful Paradise Valley, an oasis with fresh natural pools surrounded by palm trees and breathtaking mountains, perfect for relaxing, sunbathing and the highlight, if you dare, cliff jumping.

What You Can Expect

You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to Paradise Valley. On the way you will visit a traditional Argan farm, where you can learn how Argan is processed by Berber women. You can do a little shopping from a variety of biological and natural products made of Argan. After arrival, hike to Paradise Valley and settle down for a beautiful day at the natural pools, perfect for swimming and chilling. For the more adventurous, the cliffs are ideal for cliff jumping. Your day trip will end in the afternoon hours with a delicious Tajine in Paradise Valley. After, you will be dropped off back at your hotel.
